Thoughts: Foster the People is most well known for their song Pumped Up Kicks which became popular in the middle of 2011. I first became a fan upon stumbling upon the song Waste. I had heard Pumped Up Kicks many times before but since I did not like it, I did not bother to listen to any of their other music. But once I discovered Waste, I listened to Torches and fell in love with their music. The moment that Mark Foster came out dancing to Miss You, I knew that I was going to have a great time and I did. Every song was so infectious that I couldn’t help dancing and singing along with the rest of the crowd.  I was especially happy that they played Broken Jaw and Love, because although they are not their most well known songs, they are my favorites. Mark Foster has grown to be much more comfortable on stage, which I’m glad to see, since in previous performances that I’ve watched he’s seemed a bit uneasy.  I was very impressed with the set. The illustrations, which are similar to the art on the album cover for Torches, was very enjoyable. I especially liked when the stage lighted up rainbow during the performance of Pumped Up Kicks. I would definitely recommend seeing them live, especially if you’re a fan but remember to wear some comfy shoes, because you will be dancing throughout the whole set. - Nina
